The Brookfield Central Girls Soccer team were crowned WIAA Division 2 State Champions for the second consecutive year after a dominant 5-0 victory over Wauwatosa East on Saturday, June 20 at Uihlein Soccer Park. Led by Head Coach Daniel Makal, the Lancers concluded another determined season with a 14-3 overall record and a repeat return to championship glory with the program’s eighth title & fourth under Makal.

Brookfield Central set the tone early and never looked back as Sophomore Charlotte Vaughn opened the scoring in the first half off a cross from sophomore Stella Wein. Wein then added a goal of her own, dribbling into space and finishing to double the Lancers’ lead. Sophomore Kara Delisle made it 3-0 just before halftime, giving Central full control heading into the break.

Senior Alexandra Rossi continued the momentum in the second half, striking one in off the post before adding her second goal late in the match off a set piece from Delisle. Head Coach Makal praised the group’s connection, growth, and ability to rise to the moment, reflecting on how special it has been to see this team build on the legacy of past championship classes while creating one of its own.

Congratulations to the entire team on another unforgettable season!
