
Victor Han, Brookfield Central HS Class of 2026 ,has been named one of the Top 300 Scholars in the 85th Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS), the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and mathematics competition for high school seniors.
Victor earned this honor for his research project, “A Multimodal AI-Powered Diagnostic and Robot-Assisted Rehabilitation System for Parkinson’s Patients,” which utilizes artificial intelligence and robotics to bridge critical gaps in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
This year’s competition saw 2,612 applicants—the largest and most competitive pool since 1967—making Victor’s selection a significant distinction. As a Regeneron STS Scholar, Victor will receive a $2,000 award, and Brookfield Central will also receive $2,000 to further support excellence in science at BC.
This recognition not only honors Victor’s individual dedication and technical ingenuity but also highlights the strength of our community’s commitment to fostering scientific excellence. The Brookfield Central Community is immensely proud to support Victor as he moves forward in the competition, marking a significant achievement for our school and a promising contribution to the field of medical technology.
The Top 40 Finalists will be announced on January 21 at 12:00 p.m. ET, with finalists competing this March for more than $1.8 million in total awards.
